Connected level sensor
for water tanks and reservoirs
The Tankio connected sensor monitors the level of your water reserves 24 hours a day. LoRa wireless technology, installation in 5-10 minutes, smartphone alerts. Compatible with rainwater tanks, boreholes and reservoirs. Made in Belgium.
Connectivity
signal_cellular_altWhat is a connected level sensor?
A connected level sensor continuously measures water height and volume in a tank, then transmits the readings remotely. Unlike a mechanical gauge, it lets you monitor the reserve in real time from a smartphone or computer.
Tankio uses a hydrostatic-pressure probe submerged at the bottom of the water tank. It measures the height of the water column; readings are then sent over LoRa to the included gateway, which forwards them to the app over the building’s WiFi.
The system consists of a hydrostatic-pressure probe in the tank, an included gateway that receives readings over LoRa and connects to the internet over WiFi, and a mobile monitoring app. Installation takes less than 10 minutes and requires no specialist tools.
Connectivity technologies
LoRa / LoRaWAN
Long-range, low-power IoT technology (up to 700 m). Ideal for buried tanks, deep cellars and outdoor cisterns. The tankio sensor uses this technology for maximum reliability.

Frequently asked questions
How does a connected level sensor work?
The submerged probe measures the hydrostatic pressure exerted by the water column. The reading is converted into a level or volume and sent over LoRa to the included gateway; the gateway uses WiFi to forward it to the app.
Does a wireless sensor work for an underground tank?
Yes, LoRa technology penetrates concrete walls and earth for several meters. The gateway can be placed in the house and the sensor in the buried tank. It is the ideal solution for buried tanks where access is difficult.
Is a subscription required for remote monitoring?
No, access to the mobile application and alerts is completely free. No subscriptions or hidden fees. The tankio solution is designed to be accessible without recurring costs.
Switch to connected remote monitoring.
The tankio smart sensor gives you total visibility of your reserves. Receive alerts, track your consumption and never be caught off guard again.
